How to create your character on eHentai AI

Before you generate anything on eHentai, you need a character. You can grab one from the catalogue, but the point of the app is the Dream Girl Builder: you build your own, looks and temperament, and she becomes the base for every photo you make.

Good news: it’s free and costs no tokens. You only pay for the images you generate afterwards.

How do you create a character on eHentai AI?

To create a character on eHentai AI: open the Dream Girl Builder, fill in the Appearance tab (build, hair, eyes, expression, framing, outfit, setting), click NEXT STEP, pick a voice and a personality in the Personality tab, confirm with Confirm Identity, then hit GENERATE. The character is created in a few seconds, for free.

Before you start

Step 1 — Open the Dream Girl Builder

From the menu, head to the Dream Girl Builder. It opens on the 1. Appearance tab and asks you for the image generator first: LIGHT or VIBRANT, both available on every plan. That’s the overall look — LIGHT is softer, VIBRANT more saturated.

Worth knowing: the Server Load badge in the top right tells you how busy the servers are. When it’s green, generation will be quick.

Step 2 — The looks

This is the longest part, and the most fun. You work down section by section: Character (one, two or three girls), Body, Hair Style across nine cuts, Hair Color across nine shades, then the eyes.

Up top, the YOUR CHOICES bar recaps everything as you go. Handy: you see at a glance what’s filled and what’s still empty, without scrolling back.

Step 3 — Expression, framing, outfit and setting

Next come the settings that give the image its character:

• Expression — twelve moods
• Photo Style — Full Body or 3/4 to Waist. That’s the framing, and it changes the output a lot
• Clothes — about twenty outfits, plus a More options button
• Tattoos and Environment

The setting people underestimate: Photo Style. On Full Body, the AI has to handle the whole body — that’s where it botches hands and feet most often. On 3/4 to Waist, it focuses on the face and torso, and the output is noticeably cleaner. If your images keep coming out wonky, start there.

Step 4 — The setting, then NEXT STEP

Fourteen locations, from the bedroom to the beach. Pick one, then click NEXT STEP at the bottom.

Step 5 — Voice and personality

Second tab. Three blocks:

The name — locked field. Custom names are Premium-only; on the free plan the app assigns one automatically.

The voice — ten voices you can listen to before choosing. Take the time to hit play, they’re genuinely different.

The personality — the choice that matters most. Otaku, Yandere, Maid, Catgirl, Onee-chan, Tsundere, Deredere, Dandere, Moekko, Meganekko, Idol Singer.

Step 6 — Confirm Identity: the two sliders

Click a personality and a window opens with its description and two sliders: how intense her temperament runs, and her attitude (from Good to Bad). Those drive the tone of her replies in chat.

Confirm with Confirm Identity.

Worth knowing: these sliders can’t be edited afterwards. If you want a different temperament, you have to build a new character — it’s free, but worth thinking about now.

Step 7 — GENERATE

At the very bottom of the tab, the GENERATE button. Click it and let it work for a few seconds.

Step 8 — Your character profile

And there’s your waifu, with her profile: looks recapped, personality, and two buttons — Photo to generate images, Chat to talk to her.

Frequently asked questions

Does creating a character cost tokens?

No, it’s completely free and unlimited. You can build as many as you like without spending a token. It’s the photos afterwards that cost — 2 tokens each. It’s a good way to test the app before paying anything at all.

Why can't I choose the name?

Because custom names are Premium-only. The field reads “Custom girls names are only available for Premium subscription” and stays locked on the free plan — the app then assigns a random Japanese name. Plan details in our review.

What's the difference between Yandere, Tsundere and Deredere?

They’re character archetypes borrowed from manga. Yandere: possessive and jealous to an extreme. Tsundere: cold on the surface, attached underneath. Deredere: openly affectionate from the start. The pick genuinely changes the tone of the chat — a Yandere will hit you with “He belongs to ME!!” where a Deredere pays you compliments.

Can you edit a character after creating it?

No. Neither the looks, nor the personality, nor the sliders can be changed once the character is generated. Your only option is to build a new one — free, so no disaster, but you start from scratch and lose the chat history.

How many characters can you have?

There’s no announced limit on how many you can create. They stack up under My Girls and in the My Chats list, each with its own photo gallery and its own conversation history.
