Secrets AI Review (2026): Dark RPG that actually lands
Best NSFWOne of the most complete AI apps on the market — unfiltered and unapologetic.
Ok so. Secrets AI.
This one’s weird to review because it took me almost 2 full days to actually get what it does. And once I got it, I didn’t want to leave.
Let me explain.
First attempt — I bounced
Signed up. Picked a character from the gallery — some girl named Megan. Chatted for maybe 15 minutes. Thought: “this is fine but it’s not blowing my mind.” Closed the tab.
Came back 2 days later because I needed to review it properly. And that’s when I noticed the Personas option.
Wait, what?
The Personas thing — this is the unlock

Every other AI girlfriend app I’ve used works like this: you = the faceless user. She has a personality. You’re just the “hi” guy.
Secrets flips it. You can create a Persona — your own character, with a name, backstory, style. She reads that profile and adapts to you.
I made one called Marcus Hale — private detective, sarcastic, NYC-based (shoutout to my 3am brain). Gave him 3 lines of backstory.
Talked to Megan again with the Persona on.
Third message she called me “detective.” Nothing I said prompted that. She just clocked the Persona file.
That’s when it clicked. This isn’t a chat app. It’s a two-person scene.
Other apps: [You] → [Custom GF]
Secrets: [Custom You] ↔ [Custom GF]
(And yeah, once you see it you can’t unsee it. Other apps feel flat after.)
The narrative chat — italic actions and all

Chat in Secrets reads like screenplay. Actions in asterisks — she steps closer, leans against the bar. Ambient descriptions. Dialogue that breathes.
It’s not texting. It’s collaborative writing.
If you hate reading, you’ll hate this. If you’re into it, you’re cooked.
The voices — ok yeah they’re not lying
I was skeptical when I read the marketing (“best voices on the market” — every app claims that).
Tested on day 3. Called a character named Seraphine (Gothic, dark, built for drama). Expected the usual TTS grind.
Got… real intonation. Pauses in the right places. A breathy thing on the exhale that I swear no synth engine produces naturally.
I’m not saying it’s Scarlett Johansson in Her. But it’s the closest I’ve heard on a consumer AI girlfriend app. For real.
The dialogue settings — deep but overwhelming
Ok here’s where it gets nerdy. You can tune:
- Length: SMS → Paragraph (how long her replies are)
- Spice: Mild / Medium / Spicy (how explicit she’ll go)
- Smart Mode: toggles a deeper context window
- Model: switch between X-2, S3.5, and others
First day I left it all default and got decent results. Day 2 I started tweaking and realized how much of the experience depends on these sliders. Day 3 I found their wiki (which, btw, is not linked from the main UI — had to google it).
This should be taught during onboarding. It isn’t. That’s the biggest UX flaw.
The scenarios — they’re built, not spawned
Each character has a scenario. Not a prompt — a full context. Example from their catalog:
“Livia Aurelia, a slave courtesan in ancient Rome who finds freedom through philosophy, poetry, and understanding people’s hearts.”
That’s not a Character.AI-style 2-line description. That’s a scene. She doesn’t wait for you to speak. She’s already in her world when you show up.

Community has published thousands of these. Quality varies. The top-rated ones are genuinely good writing.
Pricing — and the billing thing
Heads up: the charge shows up as “S.LABS INC” on your bank statement. Which I appreciate — if you share a card or your statement goes anywhere visible, that’s a lot better than “SECRETS AI ADULT NSFW LLC”.
Heads up #2: Personas are a Ultimate-tier feature. You heard me. The thing I just spent 500 words telling you is the unlock — it’s gated behind the $26.67/mo plan, not the $9.17 Prime plan.
I learned this the hard way when I tried to create a second Persona on Prime and got a paywall. Fine. Worth it? Depends. If you’re going to use Personas heavily, yes. If one default Persona is enough, stick with Prime and save $17/mo.

What I liked
— Voices that actually sound human, not just “acceptable” — Personas system is a different paradigm, not a feature — Narrative chat reads well if you’re into writing — Scenarios give characters actual context, not just prompts — 3 model switch is nice for power users — Community characters = bottomless content
What I didn’t
— Onboarding is rough. Expect to lose 2 days figuring it out. — Personas gated to Ultimate — should be in Prime honestly — Web only. No mobile app in 2026 is a choice I don’t get — Some fine settings are wiki-only — not discoverable in-UI
Verdict
Secrets AI — 8.5/10
This isn’t an “open and go” app. It’s an RPG disguised as an AI girlfriend. If you love roleplay, writing, building characters — this is the one. You’ll lose weekends to it.
If you want to open an app, chat for 10 minutes, close it — get Candy or Swipey instead. Secrets will frustrate you.
For me? I’m on Prime. Might upgrade to Ultimate once I run out of single-Persona ideas, but Prime’s holding up fine.
